Journey-Log lets you write travel journals, add photos and share them. It is a free, non-commercial project run by a private individual (see the imprint), with no advertising and no paid features. We may change or discontinue features. If we shut Journey-Log down, we will tell you by email at least 30 days in advance so you can export your data.
Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use Journey-Log. Give accurate information and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
Your content
Everything you post stays yours. By posting it, you allow us to store it and show it according to your settings: private entries only to you and your journey's co-authors, link-only ones to people with the link, public ones to everyone. This includes link previews and share images made from it (title, your name, a cover photo) when you or others share a link. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Only post content you have the rights to.
Community rules
Don't post anything illegal, hateful, harassing or violent, no sexual content, no spam or advertising, and no personal data of other people. Only post photos of other people if they agree to it. Be respectful to other travelers.
Reports and moderation
If you see content that breaks these rules, report it with the report button on the entry, comment or profile, or write to info@journey-log.com. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and suspend accounts that do so repeatedly.
Availability and liability
Journey-Log is a free hobby project. We run it with care, but can't guarantee that it is always available or free of errors. Please keep your own copies of important texts and photos (you can export them in Settings). As far as the law allows, liability is excluded, except for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence and for harm to life, body or health.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes by email or on the site. If you keep using Journey-Log afterwards, the new terms apply.
Applicable law
Hungarian law applies. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country still apply to you.
